We have been helping those who need it most.
EYS is registered as a non-profit organisation (NPO) and public benefit organisation (PBO) based in Athlone, Cape Town. It was established in 2005 in response to the needs within the ECD sector. As a Resource and Training organisation (RTO) EYS focuses on skills development and capacity building in rural and urban areas.

EYS aims to ensure that children are nurtured and educated in a stable and caring environment.
Our Mission
- Promote and strengthen child and youth centred services
- Upgrade and improve infrastructure of ECD facilities to meet and maintain minimum standards for registration.
- Provide affordable and sustainable structures to increase access and improve the quality of ECD provisioning
- Develop and improve the quality of ECD provisioning by facilitating teacher training
- Develop sector specific resources and provide information and advice to the ECD sector.
- Develop the capacity of individuals organisations and communities through skills development programmes, on site mentoring and coaching.
- Train ECD practitioners’ youth and community members to focus on children affected by substance abuse and foetal alcohol syndrome prioritising intervention plans
